GreenRoc Strategic Materials Plc has recently been granted a convertible loan facility of EUR 5.2 million from the Danish Export and Investment Fund (EIFO) to finance the company’s reopening of the Amitsoq graphite mine.
Graphite is a so-called ‘critical mineral’ and the Amitsoq project was designated a strategic project by the EU under the EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act in June. The project is located in South Greenland and contains one of the world’s highest concentrations of graphite.
